Execution

We decided to build upon this massive consumption of Oriental desserts: we wanted to combine Nestle Ice Cream with the big player of that season thus teaching consumers how to combine Nestle ice cream with their favourite desserts at Ramadan. We created new recipes using the Nestle ice cream mixed with Oriental desserts and other kinds. We also gave consumers the privilege of creating their own mix with a mandatory Nestle Ice Cream flavour add-in. We created Nestle Ice Cream Factory as an interactive mechanism for consumers giving them ideas on how to mix Nestle Ice Cream with their favourite dessert and giving each consumer a recipe booklet so they could create Nestle Ice Cream recipes at home.

Outcome

For the client, we created a new market for ice cream in a dead season where people were not consuming ice cream at all as they were drawn to Oriental desserts during the month of Ramadan. As for the consumers, we created a new usage for ice cream and gave them creative ideas for consuming their favourite dessert of the season in a new, more pleasurable way.
