Nike is a brand whose history of using technology to enhance and celebrate all forms of sport is well documented. RunNXN is no exception. The technology used in the development of the app falls right in line with Nike’s dedication to creating new experiences as well as providing greater access to sport.
Outcome
Every year since its launch, RunNXN has seen an increase in engagement from the community that supports Nike Cross Nationals including, in 2013, increases in: unique visitors (41%), time of engagement (1.5 million minutes), e-mail subscribers (50%), user comments (1,535) and favorited runners (67%). RunNXN has changed what is possible as far as keeping people connected to not only the most competitive race of the high school cross-country season but potentially any race or event for which there is a strong existing community that needs an outlet for its support.
