Can ordinary people take extraordinary photographs? They can with the Nikon D40 DSLR. And at stunningnikon.com/picturetown, Nikon proved it. Nikon gave 200 D40 cameras to frustrated point-and-shoot users in the town of Georgetown, South Carolina. Overnight they started taking some of the best pictures of their lives. The website allowed the personalities of these town residents to shine using first person testimonials and above all, real pictures, to help us share their transformative story with other consumers.In a three month period we saw 9.5 million picture views, 4,000 send-to-friends, 5,000 comments posted, and 5% of users asked where to buy.
