Nomada Smart School was created with the purpose of breaking down barriers in related to education by taking teaching tools to all places where education is absent.

Nomad Smart School´s identity was inspired by an attempt to preserve the culture that represented the latest nomad tribe in the country (the Nukak Maku), who, just like us, kept traveling from place to place.

Based on the shapes they painted on their own bodies, we designed the logo, templates, icons, illustrations and typography. In other words, we developed a practical identity that could leave an eternal legacy.

The baggage that transports the whole teaching tools was influenced by the malokas (where indigenous live), a construction where people from the tribe can save precious things collected. When it is opened a bunch of technologies and tools pop out from the bottom of the backpack, ready to be used by the excited students.

1. We trained and prepared teachers so that they could travel and be part of a teaching community.

2. We looked for allies that helped us to find needing areas.

3. Nowadays we are working with more tahn 55 communities located in Colombia, and in other 8 countries within latinoamerica and Asia.

4. The iniciative has been carried out for less than a year.

55 isolated communities have been given access to education and technology thanks to Community Nomada.

The program has been conducted in 8 other Latin-American countries and one country in Asia that face the same issue as Colombia.

This iniciative has been globally recognized by the brand as best practice in the Samsung CSR awards.

The program was given the ACR Award, by the national government, for preventing recruitment of children in armed groups through smart education.
