We created virtual versions of two of Nokia’s cell phones with functions that translate the Connecting People concept into the virtual world. The main function, called Nokia Sensor, allows users to discover people within the virtual world with whom they have common interests. To launch this action, we organized famous DJ Fatboy Slim’s virtual show, where the artist answered questions posed by avatars present at the event.
Outcome
In the campaign’s first 60 days, 9,673 virtual cell phones were distributed, which accounts for 15% of all Brazilians who joined Second Life during that time.The virtual show attracted over 2 thousand people, outnumbering the crowd at Fat Boy Slim’s real-life concert in São Paulo.
