We inserted into Colombian newspaper “El Tiempo” an issue of the local journal of the new destinations. This way when readers turned the first page of “El Tiempo” they actually found an international newspaper, reflecting how easy it is to travel around the world with Copa Airlines.
The piece was presented two months before inaugural flights, on our frequent fliers’ homes and workplaces (via Copa Airlines Database). It was also delivered on Copa Airlines Colombia aircraft, the elite lounges of the El Dorado airport in Bogotá, and national travel agencies.
Outcome
Travelers reached out to travel agencies and requested more info on the new international routes of Copa Airlines Colombia. The bottom line: inauguration flights were sold out 15 days in advance.
