In Germany, branded entertainment on TV has to be labeled. Apart from this, product placements are forbidden on the state run TV channels. Not so in the web: Branded content is allowed without any special restriction.
Branded content is a typical way to stage B2B products in Germany. But in almost all cases this content for business target groups is not entertaining.
Execution
Success was made by seeding and by giving the special content to the press: It was published by the editors of online business platforms and blogs at once, which are used by entrepreneurs and start up employees seeking for advice all around „how to run a company today“, such as e.g. ‚Mittelstand – Die Macher’.
Outcome
Result measuring not finished yet – but In just a month the film gained over 1 Million views and TeamLike sales went up 177%.
