Description

The trail takes you on an imaginary walk behind the scenes of the set of the Shining, through Stanley Kubrick’s eyes. It is shot as a single tracking shot. The promo was meticulously researched to remain as faithful as possible to the 1980s, and the unique middle-aged culture of the British studio at this time. The set was built from scratch over 5 days using archive images of the set as it existed. Kubrick possessed a kind of fearsome presence on set and an obsessive compulsive attention to detail. The objective of the trail was to convey those idiosyncrasies about the director whilst revering his genius.
