Description

Who could talk about the life-saving functions of OnStar like nobody else? The people whose lives were saved – real, authentic and honest. To create the most captivating campaign possible, our film crew visited the actual scenes of accidents all over Europe and listened to the customers. After all no script could ever be as powerful as real life.

Execution

The resulting documentary style films formed an on-going Youtube web series telling the stories behind selected OnStar Emergency cases. New cases were produced as fast as possible and shared right away on Facebook and Twitter. Every single day OnStar changed the lives of customers all over Europe – our audience received constant updates on Social Media and could even become part of the campaign: by publicly sharing their own experiences with OnStar on Facebook.

Outcome

On Social Media millions of viewers across Europe learned about the benefits of OnStar.

Under the hashtag #thankyouonstar we encouraged the community to discuss Opel’s new feature. Our online community liked and shared the latest OnStar stories. We achieved millions of views and an increase in brand awareness that could actually save lives in the near future: As a result of our campaign every second Opel is now ordered with the OnStar system on board.
