Description

We created a wall of prejudices against women and we carried this wall to the biggest 10 universities in Turkey. These prejudices were based on the wall detachable magnets which saying "Women can not do boxing","Women can not understand football" etc. Young women who was our target surprised with the wall in their campus and participated to our activation with taking out the magnet of the prejudice sentence and said #ReWriteTheRules. They wrote a new sentence that changed the prejudice that they took out. With rewritingtherules young women created a new wall that encourages them. The new wall has been shown on the public campus areas and continued to tell young women that they can do anything.

Execution

We collected common prejudices and so-called norms about women on this Wall, shortly it was telling girls what they can’t achieve.We invited girls to re-write the rules, leveraging all the mediums in their Daily life, as well as location targeted foursquare, spotify & FB activations.Girls started to gather in front of the Wall one by one to re-write their rules.They removed the rule that they challenged and write what they can achieve instead.On top, surprises awaiting for them on the Wall. We gave them gifts about the prejudices they want to re-write and let them have a great experience.

For example; we gave a rally training gift to the girl who changed the “women cannot drive” prejudice.
