Description
In a future where everything is white and colour is outlawed, we see a young man whose job is to re-spray white the vast dome which covers the city. He, like everyone else in the city, is rendered emotionless by the lack of colour.
On his way home, a dramatic encounter with a charismatic young woman, the leader of a group of ‘colour rebels’. takes him into an underground hideout, painted and alive with hoarded colour, where he experiences colour and emotion for the first time.
Together, he and the rebels bring emotion to everyone in the city by spraying the dome in the beautiful colour ‘Copper Blush’. The film ends with the line ‘Your life is a story, change it with Dulux’ - in other words, colour doesn’t just change your walls, it can change the way you feel as well.
Execution
An interactive version of the ad lives on dulux.co.uk/interactive, directing viewers from the ad which provides a more immersive experience into Dulux. The interactive ad features the ‘colour hideout’ from the main TVC. Viewers are taken on a journey of the hideout and at every stage are able to click on objects and walls to explore the ‘colour magic’ through a range of Dulux colours and click through to order a tester.
