We held an event in which people submitted their designs, that were to be painted on actual rail cars to make up one entire train. This train was to run on this newly connected line. Participants from all ages took part, from children to adults. The painted rail cars were to be connected to make up one train that was to actually run on this line. From there...16 designs were chosen from all that were submitted. As many people looked on, finally on March 16th, those train lines were connected.
Outcome
16 designs were chosen from all that were submitted. As many people looked on, finally on March 16th, those train lines were connected. Approximately 5,000 applicants submitted designs. Approximately 400,000 accessed the event website.
