Description
Blood is precious to the Australian Red Cross Blood Service. So we ensured that no one lost any due to a paper related mishap by creating a papercut-free DM.
Execution
We wrapped the outside of our DMs in layers of bubble wrap to prevent donors from getting a paper-cut from the sharp edges.
Outcome
Approximately 20% of people who make a booking to give blood don’t show up for their appointment. We sent this DM to 35 people within the local advertising industry and not a single one of them cancelled or missed their appointment, giving us a 100% success rate. While this mail out was only to a small, select group of people, this idea could be rolled out on a much larger scale. If our results are anything to go by, this it could make a huge impact on missed appointment numbers.
