Four objectives were laid out.

1) Thank the customer for ordering the Tyson-Lewis pay per view event.

2) Reinforce the thrill of pay per view sporting events.3) Educate them on future pay per view events.

4) Reinforce the ease of ordering pay per view events. Using vivid images and colourful language, the creative conveys the thrill of watching the Tyson-Lewis fight. The photography grabs attention, while the copy voices DIRECTV's commitment to bring customers the best in sports entertainment events.

Outcome

The next major boxing match, de la Hoya vs Vargas, exceeded the expected number of orders by 100%. Did boxing fans mark it on their calendar when they received this postcard? You bet your right hook they did. In fact, all of the events highlighted in the piece met or exceeded their expected numbers.
