Description
It’s a simple idea. Every inch of the Hard Rock Café radiates music, so we thought it logical that its patrons should be able to pay by playing music. We created a mobile site that patrons used for voting, and, according to how many positive and/or negative votes they received, a discount was applied to performing patrons’ checks.
Execution
It was announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page that on a certain date patrons would be able to pay for their food and drinks with music. A set of instruments was placed on the Hard Rock’s stage, and people were given the option of paying their checks with cash, credit cards, or music. People who did not know that this event was to take place could also choose this last option.
Outcome
Hard Rock Cafe was full as everyday the last 20 years.
The greatest thing that we achieved with this campaign was that we gave people what they look for when they come to the Hard Rock: the chance to enjoy the best in food and to have a unique and unforgettable experience.
