Usually you don’t have criminals among your friends but sometimes criminals could be the people you may know. So we decided to put criminals identikits in the place where they will be noticed - People you may know list on Facebook.

At first we helped them to collect friends but then Facebook users started to add criminals to their friend list by themselves. Sometimes more then 50 friend requests per day! It’s more than any Facebook user could dream about!

6 criminals have 2500 friends at the moment.

More then 2 000 000 people saw the criminals on their People you may know list which amounts to a 1/18 of the Belarus population. Just fancy, more than 2 000,000 people for 0 cents!

1 of 6 criminals, Vitaly Shakyn, who had been wanted for 2 years, was caught a few month after the project was started.

It was just a trial project but the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus was so impressed by the results that they will use the project as a real tool of criminal search.
