This campaign is based on the insight that when it comes to a great cup of tea, the moment that you drink it in is one of the most vital ingredients. In ‘Ahh’ we wanted to celebrate one of those truly special tea moments – the first cuppa you have when you come home.We brought this to life with a TV spot showing Al & Monkey arriving home on a filthy night, and then follow the pair going through their little coming home rituals; taking off their outdoor clothes, turning on the fire, putting their slippers on then settling down in their favourite chair with a cup of PG tips... ‘Ahh’ - only then are they properly home.Unusually for characters who normally get their laughs through dialogue we decided to make an ad in which Monkey and Al don’t speak – we think it’s one of their most eloquent performances.
