Description
In order to highlight the tone of this ancient castle, traditional calligraphy and colour allocation are elaborately excelled to reinforce the feeling of ancient custom. What's more, lanterns, used to serve as decoration for temples or other bildings to embellish night in the past, are also finely designed to not only illustrate that designers are prestigiously invited to bring their modern expertise to full play, but symbolise that the castle will be lit up by the winner and the given lantern only refers to qualification of PLUS members.
Outcome
After the delivery, Client indicated that lots of designers called for the requests of the lanterns and this campaign also successfully created awareness not only in the field of lighting design, but the public as well. Some local governments or related associations actively contacted Taiwan Philips for related activities or sponsorship. What's more, according to research in 2004, the professional image of Philips lighting among PLUS members has apparently increased and they all recognise the profession and authority of the lighting design competition of Philips Lighting.
