Description

Cancer is still a taboo. Most people believe it's a death sentence. This actually makes lives of patients even worse than illness alone. Rak’n’Roll Foundation helps people enjoy life despite cancer. They asked us to raise awareness and money for they cause.

We created Photos for Life - the world’s first photo stock, where all of the models are cancer patients and survivors. Because can there be greater happiness than the shining faces of people who enjoy life despite cancer?

Hundreds of our photos have already been bought by the world’s biggest brands, such as Ikea, magazines like Men’s Health, and many others, generating over 500,000 dollars worth of earned media and showing a happier face of cancer.

The entire income finances therapy for cancer patients.

Execution

To reach the society with Rak'n'Roll's message, we took advantage on the fact that every one of us sees around 3,000 commercials daily. Most of the photos used in commercials are taken from one place - photo stocks. So we created Photos for Life charity photo stock to provide advertisers with inspiring photos that have the power to challenge superstitions about cancer.

Hundreds of photos have already been bought by the world’s biggest brands, such as Ikea, magazines like Men’s Health, and many others, (e.g. Brother, Virgin Mobile, mBank), generating over 500,000 dollars worth of earned media for the cause.

Outcome

Hundreds of photos have already been bought by the world’s biggest brands, such as Ikea, magazines like Men’s Health, and many others, (eg. Brother, Virgin Mobile, mBank) generating well over 500,000 dollars worth of earned media for the cause. Our photos have a little bit smaller prices than these on regular stocks, because the main goal was to raise awarness - we encouraged clients to annotate these photos with a little note about the campaign or use the Rak'n'Roll Foundation's logo to communicate our message to whoever is watching their commercials or read their magazines.

More 200 publications in Polish media and over 40 internationally.

In the first few months Photos for Life have already made over 10.000$ in revenue.
