The idea to use Roto to bring shaker boarding to life in a way that the whole system could get behind was quickly embraced and we saw system-wide adoption of shaker boarding. All 600+ stores had an enthusiastic shake boarder outside the restaurants for 2 hours during lunch & dinner and consumers paid attention. Sales in summer average 3% below the rest of the year. During summer 2007, sales actually picked up to 3% above average: a net gain of 6%. We created an effective, sustainable outdoor medium for CiCi’s that could be implemented at a fraction of the cost of traditional OOH media.
