We start the film with a small boat on the open sea, where our hero gamer spots a magical light on the cloudy horizon. He sets off in pursuit of the mesmerising light. As he ventures further into the cloud, his boat is hit by an unexpected pulse of energy. As he emerges from the cloud and surveys his surroundings, he realises he isn’t alone; an armada of pirate galleons, Viking longboats and spaceships has arrived, too. They are faced with a magical blue, gravity-defying membrane ahead – the edge of the world. The gamer decides to charge bravely into the unknown, the other travellers all follow. Rather than going over the edge, they pass through the membrane, transported into an exciting world of adventures. This story is an epic visual metaphor for players, acting as a rallying cry for the new adventures that lie ahead with the PlayStation5
