MOTORSTORM is a new type of off-road racing game for PlayStation3. Besides the realistic graphics, its main features are special vehicles and lots of mud and dirt. For the game’s market launch, various accompanying advertising measures were developed that staged the racing game in a suitable way.
Execution
We placed typical used car ads in the small ads section of automobile magazines. However, all of the cars offered were models from the MOTORSTORM game. Besides detailed descriptions of the muscle cars’ features, the vehicles were also offered at a sensational price: namely the price of the PS3 game MOTORSTORM. Three different ads each were placed in magazines such as Auto Motor Sport, Rallye and Tuning.
