Execution
An actor, dressed as a potato and bearing the Grandpa’s Potatoes logotype, was assigned to help the customers of a shopping centre: offering to carry the bags, find products for you, take your number and hold your place at busy food counters… This is because he was a Grandpa’s Potato, of course, and Grandpa’s Potatoes are sooo good! Meanwhile, another actor, dressed as a farmer and again showing the brand’s logo, took advantage of the public’s surprise to inform them of the product’s “goodness” and offer free samples of the brand’s different varieties.
Outcome
The client considers the results of this action to have been excellent. Over a period of four weeks, in the four shopping centres where the action was carried out, sales increased by 43%, compared with 27% in centres featuring the media campaign but without this specific action.
