Execution

As a headhunting agency, Senses is specialized in putting the right people with the right skills together to form a great team and judge the work.

Also, Belgium is a really, really small country. So the advertising industry consists of only a few hundred people. This makes it impossible to put together an independent jury, without friends helping friends.

Furthermore, the jury president, if elected, gets a chance to pick the members of his jury. He can just call the people who like him or his agency. This biases the results.

As an independent candidate, Senses was a credible alternative.

Outcome

The vote results were kept secret by the organisation of the Awardshow. But obviously, Senses didn’t get elected as Jury President. The classic networking skills of other candidates turned out to be more powerful than simple honesty. Nevertheless every single member of the industry read the candidate’s letter. So Senses reaffirmed its place as a leading headhunting agency in the Belgian advertising scene.
