Description

Emilio, a little intelligent boy, every day after school, runs to a beautiful village field, where many kids play with kites. He is in love with Aleksandra, a girl that hangs out there with her friends.

Brokenhearted after seeing her run to the boy with the biggest kite, he is determined to win her heart.

He meets with Ergi, a redhead boy whose kite is ruined.

Holding an atlas in his hands and looking at Ergi’s broken kite, a great idea comes to his mind.

Together, they start collecting materials and tools from everywhere in the village and work day and night for the construction.

The next morning, before the kids come, the boys stand at a big Kite Control Tower.

Ergi hoists the kites, while Emilio controls them from the tower. The sky is filled with hundreds of them. They are made with the flags taken out from the atlas, each one different.

When the kids approach the field, they run amazed by the tower; Aleksandra smiles at Emilio.

He is happy.

The shadows of the kite on the ground form the portrait of “Adem Jashari”, Kosovo’s National Hero, whose name is given to Pristina International Airport.
