Going to the Arc de Triomphe is a way to escape from the city. The green natural environment is really perceived as something appealing ( besides the race itself which is known as being a great show). By creating the feeling of entering the race field was the best way to make people feel the benefit of the natural environment.
Outcome
The audience in 2005 was over 50,000 people (with bad weather conditions) which the record in the last 10 years.
