OVERVIEW

Description

Visit Seattle came to the agency to develop a short content series called "Project Five by Five." The goal was to lean into the city’s burgeoning film scene, challenging five filmmakers to create short films that use one of the five senses to explore Seattle. The agency was the obvious partnership choice given that the brand has deep ties to the indie filmmaking community.

Execution

The agency commissioned five emerging indie filmmakers to produce these five short films over the span of one month. We hosted a premiere event at our venue, the agency's HQ in Park City, UT, during the Sundance Film Festival. As the Official Television Network of the Sundance Film Festival, agency's HQ was the ideal location to showcase the series, playing to a packed house of industry insiders. The public screening was followed by a panel discussion, Q&A and after-party, complete with hors d’oeuvres from Seattle-based chefs Josh Henderson and Jason Stratton, music from Seattle musician Allen Stone and more. The films were featured on a custom page on Sundance.TV, and were also shared by Visit Seattle on their O&O. We promoted socially and digitally, and we also included extra content such as a sweepstakes, filmmaker bios, headshots, and film descriptions, all designed to showcase the series in an compelling way.

Outcome

In addition to write-ups in USA Today, AdWeek, MediaPost and GeekWire, "Project Five by Five" was named a finalist for the Tribeca X Award and The FAXIES (to date).
