Description
Brazilians love to use quotes in the captions of their selfies. But because of the low average reading, very few authors are known and the same quotes are used over and over again. To solve this problem, Editora LeYa presented the #QuoteOfTheDay, a Messenger bot that offers the perfect quotes for countless possibilities and through them encourages the reading of new authors. After choosing the quote, they receive a discounted link to the purchase of the book where the phrase originally was. So we created a new context to talk about books and the discovery of reading.
Execution
The Bot was initially implemented in a test period where functions and quotes were gradually added. It was only presented to the public as a final product on LeYa Messenger, where the users can discover their quotes in a pretty easy way: they just have to send a message to the LeYa Books Messenger. There they can interact with the Bot through two different ways. With the description of the photo, where the system interprets the sentences through the identification of key words. Or browsing by themes and topics, where they can quickly get to the desired type of message. After choosing the sentence, the Bot sends a discounted link to the purchase of the book where it came from.
Outcome
People quickly embraced the #QuoteOfTheDay. Only in the first 48 hours, more than 4500 quotes were chosen and more than 15 new authors were already sold out. In this way, we created a new point of contact for the brand and changed the context where people hear about books.
