Description

The film is about a community known as Rudaali (professional mourners)who belong to a region known as Rajastan, India. The matriarch of the family who is the sole bearer of this dying art form is trying in the film to pass on her talent to her disciples. She is extremely senior and experienced in this art and in her hay days was extremely reputed in the neighboring villages. But her disciples for some reason are very distracted. The art needs them to be sad and sorrowful but they in turn are always happy and therefore miserably fail in their performances.The dejected teacher tries several methods, but none work. Eventually, at the end of the film she discovers the reason for their constant joy. Radio Mirchi (FM channel) which they are always listening to. Finally the teacher also gets sucked into their happiness.
