OVERVIEW

Description

The design team was given the task of developing the entire corporate identity for the ready-to-drink cocktails, mixed-ape. The team had a carte blanche for the creation of the corporate design: everything from product name development to the design of the logo and packaging was left up to them, so they could be as creative as they wished.

Execution

After intensive field work in and around the target group, an ape's face was chosen as the key visual and image bearer. The corporate design is aimed at a young, progressive target group and communicates in essence attributes which may be described as untamed, wild, strong and gregarious. The non-alcoholic drinks are easily recognized by the color reduction of their packaging, which, however, does nothing to diminish the dynamic and unmistakeable look of the design. Each of the individual flavors is associated with a particular color variation of the logo.

Outcome

Since the successful launch of mixed ape in October 2009 the feedback was very positive. The reception at several events in Germany and Benelux was huge. Mixed ape is available at retailers in Benelux and in the soccer stadium of Alemannia Aachen – a traditional German soccer team. But reliable data about the outcome is yet not available
