OVERVIEW

Description

Express the punchy pithy brand voice of Kigo Kitchen in a dynamic blend of copywriting and typography. And as always, it had to be cool enough that people would hang it on their wall.

Execution

Kigo Kitchen is inspired by adventure—found in the frenetic back alleys of the Pan-Pacific where some of the world's best street food is found. The posters are loud, bold and layered, referencing the fast and repetitious nature of being an alley chef. The bold, brushed type honors hand-crafted quick-fire bowls and straight- forward messaging reflects communication on the kitchen line. By combining the exotic soul of Pan-Asian street food, with simple touches of American style, we created a curious, dynamic, and flavorful brand experience.

Outcome

1. Expanding to three stores within the first year.

2. Regularly a line around block and continually selling out of bowls, 6 months after opening. We like to believe that’s part food, part personality.
