Description
To communicate the promise "Italian dining only" we decided to let the chef (and owner) act with true italian passion and impulsivity. On 1-dollar bills he wrote compliments to owners of Italian cars. We placed those dollar-bills on the side-window´s of the cars. This act communicate´s that the chef Alessandro is pure Italian, through his acting. The pure Italian passion is understood also valid for the food his is cooking.The messages on the dollarbills was:1. Your car almost made me cry.2. Your car reminds me of where my heart belongs.3. Your car is a true beauty./AlessandroGambero - Italian Dining Only
Outcome
The restaurant is a rather small business, we have not been able to scientifically track the exact result. But, the responses have been great, people have called for reservations and given compliments for the campaign, a few people have also visited the restarants and asked for dollar-bills from the campaign. We beliieve that the message, without an offer for a free drink or something like that gives the message a honest feel, even though most of the receiever´s understand it is a commercial message.
