Description
The "Restore the Bond" animated story and the backing original song were created as the centerpiece of the Restore the Bond campaign. The film was created to connect with cat owners and inspire them to give their own examples of how Semintra helped their cat.
At a time when the brand needed it most, pet owners were sharing real-world success stories of their experiences with Semintra - a medication to treat chronic kidney disease in felines. This was a sign that we were naturally producing brand believers.
So we turned this behavior into a user generated content promotion called "Restore the Bond" where we asked cat owners to submit a Restore the Bond story of how Semintra helped their cat. The goal was to turn pet owner testimonials into real-world content to be used by reps during clinic visits.
Execution
This elements of this animation are made up of hand crafted characters and scenes, not CG. The pieces were made by hand, trimmed, shot in camera and then prepared to be animated in After Effects. This allowed for a hand crafted feel for the artwork and an efficient production pipeline where that made iteration possible within timeline and budget. The entire process including revisions happened in less than 6 weeks.
