Description
The objective was to create an identity for the highly skilled retoucher, Steve Bland.
Execution
Steve is a retoucher extraordinaire. Multi-skilled in the mysterious ways of Photoshop. A true Mac wizard.
And so, plain old Steve Bland revealed himself to be… The Great Blandini. An engaging, Victorian-esque, typographic identity unfolded, referencing an era when magic was still truly magical. We developed a unique tone of voice combining modern day, technical terms and old Victorian English.The identity was printed on recycled stock in black and white to reduce print costs.
Outcome
The identity has been incredibly well received by the creative community. Appearing on countless blogs and in several magazines, generating lots of free publicity for Steve. It has also been awarded by AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association) and featured in a review of the best of 2010 by Australian Creative Magazine.
