Illiteracy affects almost one billion adults worldwide. And it’s a hidden issue, with those suffering from it embarrassed and unwilling to admit their problem. But just because someone is illiterate doesn’t mean their story shouldn’t be heard. Project Literacy is aiming to raise awareness of adult illiteracy by shining a light on the success stories of those who have risen to the challenge and bettered their lives through literacy.
