Leveraging the relevant themes and digital stars that teens loved from the first season, “Royal Crush” Season 2 expands upon the love story, adding in new characters, plot twists and travel destinations to showcase the allure of cruising.

Execution

The return of the smash-hit series ran on AwesomenessTV’s YouTube channel, which has over 3.5 million subscribers. New episodes were released weekly over the course of six weeks, which drove high anticipation and chatter among fans. “Royal Crush” was supported by digital advertising across the AwesomenessTV channel and multi-channel network as well as across its social media platforms. The cast of digital stars also generated strong viewership with promotional outreach to their loyal fans on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook along with interviews and exclusive clips placed on key teen media outlets like Hello Giggles, J-14, M Magazine and Twist.

Outcome

Since its premiere in May 2015, the second season of “Royal Crush” has consistently averaged 480,000 weekly views and has garnered a total of 20 million lifetime views. In addition to an extensive social media campaign using tracking hashtags like #RoyalCrush, sweepstakes and a coordinated media plan, “Royal Crush” has collectively garnered 41 million lifetime views, 2.1 million social engagements and 178 million social impressions across YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram across its two seasons.
