OVERVIEW

Execution

Having realised the client's budget wasn't sufficient for a proper press campaign, we decided to organise a money-raising event instead. After interacting with the children at the school, and talking to their teachers, we hit upon the idea of holding the country's first Blind Children's Painting Exhibition.

The two-day exhibition titled 'See What They See' opened in Pune on November 14th, which is children's day in India.

Outcome

Over a thousand people attended in the two days it ran. 90% of the paintings sold, with one canvas fetching a whopping Rs. 25,000. In total, the school collected Rs. 2.5 lakhs in sales.Lawrence and Mayo who sponsored the event, has pledged its support for the next three years. The exhibition will now travel to Mumbai and then Bangalore. The media took up the cause. The event was covered on several channels and in most local dailies.Best of all, 162 individuals pledged to donate their eyes after attending the exhibition.
