Background
Greenpeace Hungary is an NGO, therefore unsupported by the current Hungarian government. They have to comepte for funds from abroad, notably, they are supported by Norway Grants, an organization funding different NGOs in the country. As competition for these funds is fierce, the grants get lesser in amount. Greenpeace is a challenger brand when compared to other NGOs operating in the country. They needed a cost-effective, yet high impact way to get more visibility for their issue in the media and also to be heard in social media as well.
Execution
We hear the sounds of seagulls. Then the Narrator reveals that these sounds were not seagull sounds, but sounds created to imitate seagulls, produced using nothing but plastic trash objects. This is how we bring home the message that it's getting harder and harder to tell apart the sea and plastic trash.
