Background
Our daily routine takes us many places. Whether running errands, taking a hike or walking in the park, skin gets clogged with dirt we pick up along our way, in addition to oil and makeup residue. In a way, at the end of the day, the places we pass through, end up on our skin, leaving us wanting, as they say, to "wash the day off".
Execution
For Garnier SkinActive Charcoal Purifying Towelettes, we created our Skins Campaign: a series of visually rich executions that emphasize how these facial wipes are perfect for on-the-go. To dramatize how daily city routines can leave skin clogged up with dirt, makeup and oil, we created 3D models of our urban landscapes and shaped them like our models’ facial features. We focused specifically on oil-prone face areas, like the forehead, chin and nose.
Our models were then photographed wearing makeup styles that replicated pollution and dirt. Both the 3D cityscapes and photographs were blended in a composition to achieve our final creation. Meticulously adjusted to surprise the viewer with the city scape upon looking closer, we invited people to wash their day off.
