Description

If music accompanies people when they drive. Why not use it to remind people not to speed. We developed an App, that synchronizes in real time the music people listen with their smartphone’s speedometer, making the music speed up, every time they sped beyond the limit. Reminding people not to speed in a new fun an innovative way.

Execution

We developed an App named Speed Limit Songs, that people could download for free from Google Play and the Appstore. The App purpose was to speed up the music people listen from their personal library, Soundcloud and Dropbox, every time they sped beyond the limit, reminding them to slow down. How does it work? Simple. By synchronizing the smartphone’s GPS and speedometer with the music people listen, the app managed to speed up the music depending on the road’s given speed limit.

Outcome

The App was launched with a social media campaign that run throughout the nation. Inviting people to respect the speed limits an to download the App. We achieve over a thousand downloads within the first week. And got people talking about the importance of respecting the speed limits.
