The concept solution was DIY – Do It Yourself!
The art direction was inspired by the illustration style of DIY books and the copy was developed as step-by-step instructions. An island twist was included in each element.This gave us creative freedom - various elements included: digital teaser showing a workshop wall. Digital toolbox containing all the information. Folder designed for filing with file artwork. What’s the drill? letterhead with drill artwork. Notebook with a fine sandpaper cover. Posters with messages relevant to DIY and career ie. update old geysers. Plastering kit for drinks vouchers.
Outcome
The digital element resulted in a 100% response rate and a group of well informed delegates.
The DIY concept interpreted the message that it is up to each individual to add to the construction of this brand.Verbal feedback from the delegates and management was that they thoroughly enjoyed the creative.
A self-complete questionnaire was distributed via email to all who attended the conference and the respondents agreed that the concept was very suitable and that the entire experience added value.Client stated that not only was the brief met – it was exceeded by being inventive, inspiring and very creative!
