Execution

During the concept development phase, due consideration was given to the reluctance of the police force management team to allow officers to switch to the AT. It was important to come up with a funny and sympathetic idea that would catch the attention of the officers. One Wobbler, of an AT member who is about to overpower you, was put up in various places in the police stations (offices, staircases, fridges). Normally, you wouldn’t be too happy about an AT member who comes looking for you. This is different, though, as the AT is looking for new members.

Outcome

The Wobbler turned out to be a much discussed collector’s item. It was snatched away, only to turn up again in the oddest of places. This low-profile campaign scored us a lot of attention. Working for the SWAT Team was back on the radar screen (by now, 427 people have expressed an interest in working for the AT), and as many as approximately 200 police officers attended the open day. In the meantime, some 177 prospects have applied for a job in the AT.
