Description

Firstpost had a new way to comment upon news stories. Instead of typing, you could talk via video with YouSpeak. We had to promote this new way of commenting via video upon the news with a close to zero budget.

How we did it: All we did was express the power of video, in the one place you can see only words: Twitter.

How it worked: We looked out for the tweets of every famous Indian. Our two theater actors would then enact their tweet verbatim. We'd re-tweet the videos back causing complete mayhem.

Execution

Well, frankly, we were the creative team, we just knew that this was a different way altogether to use the media of Twitter.

We fundamentally scanned for tweets of leading Indians, then with our team of improvisation actors, we'd enact their tweets verbatim in video, upload the videos to YouTube, then retweet them back to the originators of the tweets.

Outcome

137, 214 visits to firstpost.com/youspeak during the two days of the activity.

250,000 views on YouTube.
