The solution was in someway mad – just like the satirical magazine. The best of all was, that the whole action cost us only €100.
Outcome
The result was enormous: In the end, the bill was sold for €611.06 for a €100 bill. That’s more than a 600% increase in value. Numerous bidders, watchers, 11,000 auction visitors and an extensive feedback from the press prove:
The euro is still worth something. Of course, we informed all of Europe’s political leaders about that fact. And although Merkel and Co. didn’t reply, we could at least set an example for a strong euro.
