Description
We see a young girl astronaut being launched into space at the tune of Lou Reed's 'Satellite of Love'.
We follow her amazing journey at the space station - until a butterfly appears. In space. The magic is briefly transferred to a living room where the girl reaches for the butterfly - before again immersing herself in the in content on her iPad and continues her journey in space.
A metaphor for powerful entertainment – enabling the viewer to be immersed - and literally travel in time and place.
Execution
Com Hem is premium brand that provides superior experiences, so we wanted the execution to be flawless.
The challenge was to develop a captivating idea and a world-class execution that reflected Com Hem’s premium content – without the same “Holywood” budgets.
So we sourced stock clips, built set design, used limited CGI and a big dose of stubbornness.
We designed child sized space suits that matched what real astronauts use. We created weightlessness by hanging our lead actress (a nine year old with serious body control from karate practice) from the ceiling in a studio built space station with back projections of space on the wall behind.
The music was also an important element, and we let Lou Reed’s ‘Satellite of Love’ set the tone.
Art direction and design was an essential part of the creation, and we were meticulous in every decision, from set design and CGI to typography.
