OVERVIEW

Description

Francois Damiens is a famous actor in France. In real life, he has never participated in an advertising campaign. Until now. In this campaign, he plays himself, negotiating an incoming offer to take part in an advertising campaign for Le Lynx.fr, a company offering insurance comparisons Online.

Execution

Francois Damiens meets with his agent, who has a proposal for an ad campaign. Francois takes this the wrong way : after all, he is a celebrated film actor, why on Earth should he lower himself to do this kind of garbage? In the next film, Francois is closer to accepting, but under certain conditions: he refuses to say the name of the company, or describe what they do. In the third film, we learn that Francois’ agent has negotiated a higher fee. Francois accepts it, all while claiming that he’s not doing it for the money – after all, advertising is part of the modern career path for an actor these days. In the fourth and final film, Francois agrees. But he’s too late – the client has decided to go with an ex reality tv actor.

Outcome

-On twitter, mention of the brand bounced to 253% more than normal.

-More than 180,000 organic views in 3 days on Facebook and YouTube. (out of more than 500,000 impressions.

-Google search for the client hit a three month high.
