Execution
By starting with classic, well-known Hemingway titles, we reinterpreted the covers with new, custom illustrated book covers that depicted the amazing stories from Hemingway’s life—from his time as a bullfighter to his adventures hunting for Nazi submarines to his multiple wives. This graphic approach served as a completely fresh take on the book cover theme, and an entirely new way to tell the story of Hemingway himself.
To maximize the campaign, we worked in conjunction with local bookstores in the area to display the books in prime locations, generating a great deal of interest from passersby.
Outcome
With window displays of the books in both the Hemingway Museum and Birthplace Home, as well as several bookstores in the outlying area, the campaign is reaching over 10,000 international visitors annually.
