Description
Together with Swedish lifestyle brand and saddler Reje, we reworked used wallets into bespoke mobile cases, fitted for the Samsung phones that would be eligable for the Samsung Pay beta version.
Execution
We entered into a collaboration with Swedish lifestyle brand and saddler Reje and settled on four used wallets that we redesigned and reworked into a series of bespoke mobile cases. The design process and selection involved finding a good variety of different materials (leather, faux leather, lac and ”lizard skin”) in order to speak to the broad Swedish public. Since the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone has particular measurements we needed to figure out how to get the most out of these four used wallets in order to make the best looking mobile cases. Reje then went to work, reworking all wallets by hand, creating these beautiful bespoke Samsung mobile cases. The process was documented as online film, and the cases were then photographed for social media and print, and were then sent to key social media influencers that would use them and showcase them in their channels as they promoted
Outcome
The campaign has proven to be successful with well over 2 million views despite limited media investments. YouTube Trueview completion rate was 25% higher than benchmark and Facebook CTR was a whopping 100% higher than benchmark. Altogether, the campaign has successfully increased both awareness and interest within the target group in the early stage of launching Samsung Pay in the Swedish market.
