OVERVIEW

Description

1. Launching with a provocative prime content - a film - that would be universally relatable and travel, attracting attention:

After Lebanese TV channels and media refused to support, LOGI launched "The Right to Power" plea to global audience through a disturbing film, to seek support regarding the energy crisis impacting Lebanon's healthcare.

The film aired globally in cinemas, on news channels and online.

• There's a Macbeth-like tragedy feel to the film that shows a father and a daughter's time together over 47 seconds, with a haunting and painfully melancholic soundtrack and sound design.

• It opens in a hospital room, with the daughter is on life support when the electricity cuts and the father panics. In between intermittent cuts over 47 seconds, we feel his pain and his helplessness calling out for help.

• The lights and the colours add to the bleakness of the reality being faced.

• The camera movement is slow and tedious; almost haunting.

• The take is one shot, to capture 47 seconds as it would happen, for real.

• The daughter is a symbol for Lebanon's healthcare, with her condition deteriorating progressively with every electricity cut. The father is a symbol for the Lebanese people, screaming and pleading for help with every electricity cut, but no one responds, just like no one's coming to Lebanon's aid in the electricity crisis afflicting its healthcare sector.

The film ends with an eye-opening message and call-to-action:

"The helplessness faced in these 47 seconds is what Lebanon has faced for 47 years."

"For 47 years, Lebanon has faced regularly power cuts every day that debilitate life."

"It's time Lebanon got back its right to power."

2. Website and petition to capture support:

And the film drives people to a specially created website with a petition that sought 100,000 signatures to take to parliament members and put the pressure needed.
