For this film we built the world of Azeroth from the ground up. Blacksmiths, leatherworkers, and prop makers of every kind were used to ensure that the world felt lived-in and the characters real.

Translating a game like world of warcraft, with such a loyal and engaged fanbase, into live action required meticulous attention to detail. We worked closely with the team at Blizzard to ensure that we were honoring the game while making everything work in film.

Making all the elements gel together and look like something beyond the budget was a challenge and the film is a blend of visual effects, prosthetics and props.

We also made sure to put grime, dirt and imperfections in everything we created so that we didn't end up with something looking artificial. Our design philosophy was that even though it's fantasy - everything should look real.
